Chiropractic

Chiropractors are healthcare professionals who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. They conduct thorough examinations, including medical history, physical tests, and imaging, to create a targeted treatment plan. Chiropractors use a variety of techniques, including spinal adjustments, to improve joint function and reduce pain. They also incorporate exercises and physical therapy modalities to address muscle and joint issues.

Pain Management

Pain management is a medical specialty focused on alleviating pain through interventional procedures such as spinal injections, joint injections, nerve blocks, and radiofrequency ablation. Pain doctors typically have a primary specialty in anesthesia, physical medicine & rehabilitation, or neurology/psychiatry before completing further specialized training in pain management.

Scrambler Therapy

Scrambler Therapy is a non-invasive, drug-free treatment option for people with neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a type of chronic pain caused by nerve damage or dysfunction, often described as burning, shooting, or tingling.

Scrambler Therapy uses a device that delivers low-intensity electrical signals to the skin through electrodes placed near the area of pain. These signals are “scrambled” or modulated to mimic the patterns of non-painful nerve signals. The scrambled signals are transmitted to the brain, essentially “retraining” the brain to perceive the abnormal pain signals as normal, non-painful sensations.

Pain

Lower Back Pain

Up to 80% of adult Americans suffer from lower back pain. Some back pain is the result of injury, while some pains stem from the tendency of adults to work in a seated position for long periods of time. Whatever the cause, Texas Spine Clinic treats lower back pain using non-invasive and non-surgical methods to preserve the overall health of your body.

Headaches

From Migraine headaches to nerve-related head pain, we treat it all. The severity and symptoms of headaches can vary widely, and it can be difficult to determine the exact source of your pain without assistance. Chronic headaches should be treated with careful attention to improve your quality of life.

Neck Pain

Neck pain can be caused by something as simple as sleeping in unusual positions, or can be the result of car accidents or other serious injuries to the spine. Since the neck is one of the most flexible and most used sections of the spine, working to reduce any and all pain that area is crucial. Sometimes, chiropractic care is called for to adjust the vertebra back into proper positioning.

Chronic Diseases

Sciatica

Sciatica is the result of a large nerve in your spine becoming pinched or constricted. Sciatic pain is characterized by sharp or shooting pains throughout the lower spine, buttocks, and legs. Ultimately, sciatica is the result of a misalignment in the spine, or herniated disc. Non-invasive spinal adjustments can have a great effect on minimizing sciatic pain.

Facet Syndrome

Facet joint syndrome facilitate a lot of dynamic motion in the spine. When these joints begin to degenerate, they can limit motion, cause pain, and contribute to additional nerve restriction within the spine. Facet syndrome is complicated and difficult to diagnose, but our spinal experts are highly experienced in determining the true cause of back pain.

Scoliosis

Typically, Scoliosis occurs in children, and is not necessarily a cause for concern. However, when the curvature of the spine reaches 25 degrees or so, it becomes necessary to reinforce the child’s spine with some manner of bracing.

Degenerative Disc Disease

Spinal vertebra are kept together by soft tissue in the spinal column called discs. Over time, as your spine flexes, compresses, and shifts, these discs can start to decay. Vertebra grinding directly against each other can cause severe pain in the lower back and throughout the body. Chiropractic adjustments and careful physical therapy can help to realign the spine and prevent further damage.
