PAIN PROCEDURES
Our Non-surgical, Tailored Approach to Treating Pain
At Texas Spine Clinic, we want every patient to live life to the fullest—a life without pain getting in the way of what you are passionate about. Our San Antonio-based providers can help you fulfill just that. We use a multi-specialty approach to treating pain. We have found that successfully treating stubborn pain syndromes comes from a combination of different treatments and specialists. What works well for one patient and one condition, may not work as well for the next patient. Each patient is different and our success comes from recognizing that and being able to deliver a wide range of treatments from multiple pain specialists if needed.
Our Pain Management physicians are fellowship-trained and are experts in digital imagery using fluoroscopy or ultrasound to ensure accuracy of needle placement, enhanced patient outcomes, and increased patient satisfaction.

We Specialize in the Following Pain Relieving Therapies
Your body is unique. Your treatment should be no different. At Texas Spine Clinic, our team of chiropractors, physicians and nurse practitioners will work with you to identify the right combination of treatments that get to the root of your pain.
Chiropractic
Chiropractic care has been proven to be the most effective treatment for mechanical back pain. This is pain coming from the joints, or facets, of your spine. There are many causes of back pain and our job is to find the right treatment modality and plan of care in order to provide the pain relief you need.
Laser Therapy
If you experienced injury or trauma, then laser therapy, a surgery-free treatment that reduces pain and stimulates a faster healing response, might be right for you. The red laser light combined with heat stimulates the mitochondria of injured cells to produce more adenosine triphosphate, also known as ATP. With more ATP, the cell has more energy to heal the injured tissues.
DRX-9000 Non-surgical Treatment
If you suffer from back pain, spinal decompression therapy may be right for you. This surgery-free, anesthesia-free treatment uses a machine called the DRX9000 to gently stretch your spine and provide lasting pain relief.
Injections
Spinal injections can offer safe and effective relief for severe back or neck pain when OTC medications and therapy don’t help. Performed under Guided X-Ray Imaging, these injections can precisely target the source of your neck or back pain.
Ultrasound
More than just for seeing babies in the womb, ultrasound is an effective treatment against pain and inflammation. Therapeutic ultrasound works similar to heat therapy by increasing blood flow to stimulate healing but can be more effective at reaching deeper tissues than heat alone.
E-Stim
E-stim is a therapy treatment that reduces pain by sending mild electrical pulses through your skin that work to block pain signals to the brain. This can help to reduce muscular spasms and relieve pain simultaneously.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial relief is a non-invasive therapy that helps relax tight and tense tissue in your body by applying pressure to specific “trigger points.” This reduces pain and improves flexibility.
Heat/Ice Therapy
Texas Spine Clinic’s heat therapy relaxes muscles and improves blood flow to speed the healing process. Cold therapy, or cryotherapy, restricts blood flow, thus reducing inflammation from your injury.
Exercises
Our physicians and chiropractors can teach you exercises that strengthen your muscles around weak joints and your spine. This helps support your bones and can provide significant pain relief, depending on your condition.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a common therapy that’s similar to acupuncture but is used to relieve back and muscle pain caused by certain conditions like muscle spasms due to underlying disc or joint problems.
